The unwanted side effect of the "woot this deal" button. People just click the button and add it. For some reason I have never had luck with it catching Amazon items. I think it is pretty safe to say that everyone posting a duplicate is not actually checking deals.woot for the deal before adding it.

Actually, it's a pretty amazing deal to get a whole album from someone whom many consider to be a top artist for only $1.

And for the record, I'm not among those who consider her to be a "top artist".

aside from the fact she's a freak, she's a very talented songwriter who's probably written at least one song for an artist you probably listen to.

She's nothing more than this generation's Madonna. Sorry, but I don't see the appeal. What is she doing that's so original? It's the same mass-marketed music that's been defiling the airwaves for the last two decades. Next.

I'm actually surprised to find how much I've enjoyed Gaga. Granted, the woman knows how to get attention. But she also has musical chops, which can be easily overlooked. And her SNL appearance was juuuust spectacular, IYAM. It was especially nice to see her in skits with Justin Timberlake; the two of them got even better together.

BTW, I'm an old, old person who really shouldn't give a f about Timberlake or Gaga or much else. Yet I do.

I actually loved the SNL appearance she made this weekend (the digital short and the dancing wine bottle skit), but to be honest she creeps me out a little bit.

and yes, @k87, she certainly gets a lot of attention and makes a lot of money so by some measures she ranks highly as a performer.

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
