Any good open source DVD / Blu-ray rippers for PC?
I've tried several (Magic DVD Ripper, Handbrake, etc) but they're either way too slow or compress the files down to almost un-watchable clarity. There do seem to be several good programs available, but they cost too much. Any suggestions?

DVD Fab HD Decrypter works really well and doesn't compress unless you ask it to. However, it's only a 30 day trial and then it costs $200 -- unless you have a friend with an old CD Key they don't use anymore ;)
It is really useful though (except when it rips the files and they disappear for no apparent reason
I personally use MakeMKV. Compression is minimum from what I can see, although that means file sizes tend to be a bit big, around 7GB for DVD and 20GB for Blu-ray. Usually doesn't take longer than 30 minutes to rip a movie.
The program is free during beta, but you can purchase it for $50.
DVDfab has always done right by me.
