Has T-Mobile authorized your Android Extravaganza Weekend freebate yet?
Intrepid readers will recall that T-Mobile denied my freebate claims, citing incorrect rate plan as the cause even though their authorized reseller's retail staff assured me we were in like Flynn for same.
After being a burr up the reseller's sales manager's butt for several days I received yesterday a commitment from the reseller - NOT from TMob - for a $300 credit to my TMob account and a $300 cash payment in the form of a check to be mailed.
I have this in writing, sort of, via an email from the sales manager's assistant. Since I was planning to roll the entire freebate back onto my TMob bills I'm good with this outcome, provided it actually happens as promised.
I did use some magic words during my several conversations with the guy: deceptive practices, bait and switch, lawyer, class action lawsuit, dispute charges with credit card provider. I was ready to follow up but he came through with a solution.
So I'm pacified.
