When choosing between Mac and PC, I will always choose PC. More bang for your buck. But...there is much more out there and I choose Linux Mint or Ubuntu.

I stand my my post on @gmwhit 's thread.

And will add to it: The new OS, Mavericks, is fantastic. So much more speed and all around improvement.

I am an Apple user. I currently own a 2006 MacBook, a 2002 G4 iMac for vinyl signmaking production and a 2000 iMac preloaded w/signmaking software as a backup in the closet (all still running strong). I also own an iPodTouch4 and an iPad3. I have owned another several iMacs and PowerPC's in the past as well. I used to work in the Rutgers Computer Lab in 1981/82 and then went into computer sales for a few years. I have used everything from TRS-80's and original Apple IIc/IIe's to HP MINIS and Televideo and Novell Networks. I use Apple products because they are less headache than just about any other stuff out there. I also am a big fan of functional industrial design, and Apple makes the best-looking products, hands down. If you don't tinker under the hood of your car, why would you want to do the same with your computer? Apple products are used in very highly critical areas like medicine & research, and dominate much of the creative arts & media world.

For what? Maybe Chromebook? 3 out of the Top 5 laptops sold from Amazon are Chromebooks. 1 is Android and the one is Windows.
For me PC.
