Are steroids bad for professional sports?
If new off-shore sports leagues developed, free from steroid laws of America and other nations, would you watch? I'm a little intrigued by the notion of folks dunking on 15-foot-high basketball rims, or 7-foot-tall quarterbacks being pursued by 400 lb defensive-ends, and quarter-mile homeruns Of course we'll tell the kids to not try this at home...
You have asked the last three questions here....that is kind of spammy and generally frowned upon. Please pace yourself and check back in tomorrow. If I may speak for the community, we would appreciate that. :)
The steroids to which you refer are anabolic steroids. In your offshore dream-team fantasy, though, you vastly exagerate the drugs' capabilities. These substances are derivatives of testosterone and produce similar effects associated with being a male. Personally, I don't have a problem with athletes using them. Whatever achievements they make are accomplished by the human beings, not the drugs. I do think the drugs can take a toll on the body, but so does the sporting endeavor in which they are participating.
Saturday Night Live did a skit about the 'All Drug Olympics'. I'd like to see something like that (from a safe distance).
