questionsdo you like peanut brittle?

1. Grease a large cookie sheet. Set aside.

2. In a heavy 2 quart saucepan, over medium heat, bring to a boil sugar, corn syrup, salt, and water. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Stir in peanuts. Set candy thermometer in place, and continue cooking.
Stir frequently until temperature reaches 300 degrees F (150 degrees C), or until a small amount of mixture dropped into very cold water separates into hard and brittle threads.

3. Remove from heat; immediately stir in butter and baking soda; pour at once onto cookie sheet. Let cool. Snap candy into pieces.

I love the taste of peanut brittle, but it's too hard on my tooth. :(

HAHAH! So I'm lurking my question and I look over to the right at the Related Deals and I see this : The Jaws of Life

Come on W00T! my peanut brittle is crunchy and delicious. It doesn't require the Jaws of Life to eat it.

Still Laughing!!!!!

Cool thanks! I will be baking lots tomorrow for a work function and might add this to the list :)

The "Bacon Peanut Brittle" in Related Deals sounds Yummy! ;-}

This is what penut brittle looks like from the Philippines:

When eaten occasionally, yes I'd love to eat them.

Mmmmmmm! Peanut brittle! Thanks for the recipe! Did you know that someone started a Deals.Woot recipe exchange page a while back? I stumbled across it by accident and I don't think it's been updated for a while, but why don't you add this one over there and let's see if we can get more people to contribute. Try and see if it will let you add it,

Peanut brittle was my dad's favorite treat. Now I need to go try the recipe!

@belyndag: Tried, but submission link didn't work. :(

No, not at all. Too much fat for the taste. Might as well drop it directly into my pants to view the future.
