Looks like it's random "P" words so far.

@theoneill555: Why? Is it raining???

vote-for2vote-against

Poikiloderma . Use sunscreen, my fiends. It's toooo late for meeeeee. lol

vote-for2vote-against

@lavikinga: I live near Seattle, it's ALWAYS raining (except yesterday). I thought we were going to play the word exchange but I can do random P words too.

Pumpernickel

vote-for1vote-against

@theoneill555: Not going to lie - Pumpernickel is actually some of my favourite bread, as toast anyway.

Random P words are not coming very easily to mind right now. I doubt that @shrdlu meant just P words, but I suppose that'll fly. It's kind of like Cookie Monster's "C is for Cookie" song, but with a P! The only semi-educated sounding words that I can rattle off at the moment are Phantasmagorical, and Phallogocentrism. That latter one is definitely toeing the line of family decency though, let me tell ya. I just remember learning about that in a cross disciplinary study on linguistics and sociological trends in America. Basically it describes or categorizes what feminists like to call male-dominance-related thought processes as relayed through normal speech and writing. And that, in turn, reminds me of amorphophallus titanum - a large, stinky plant... Ha! Plant also starts with a P! I'm on a roll... :)

@shrdlu: I was totally trying to think of pulchritudinous! I love that word! How has the painting gone, by the way?

vote-for2vote-against

@arosiriak: Thanks for asking. I finished a while ago, and then spent another hour cleaning up. It's always the prep and the tear down that take the most time. Thank goodness it was only ceilings and baseboards. I swore the last time I painted a room that I'd never do it again, but having to choose between four more days of all the furniture from two rooms stuffed into the living room, and painting it myself, I chose to paint.

I had the last of the cottage cheese ceilings removed from the two upstairs bedrooms. Cottage cheese ceilings are so seventies, they attract dirt, and besides, I hate them. My favorite painter was busy with outside jobs, and I just didn't want to wait. I can always have the walls painted later, but the ceilings had to be done now.

I need a new house, or Woot needs to do another beta test on something big. Winter is around the corner. Winter is boring.

Anyone notice some changes in the reputation system?

@shrdlu: No, didn't notice about the reputation system. What have you seen.

Parsimonius

vote-for2vote-against

@jazcat: IFF someone has contributed nothing other than a single question, voting on that question does not increase reputation. Case in point? Woot is a Hoax question. In past, we've seen someone gain quite a bit just from voting up a single question. I also note that my reputation doesn't drop precipitously (like how I got that P word in?) when I make a single comment, as was previously the case. I have recently made multiple comments that have received no votes (in addition to comments that did), and have apparently been downgraded only a slight amount.

I may have to poke around for a while. Things seem to have changed here and there. Interesting.

[Edit] In case y'all didn't see it buried in the paragraph above:

Precipitously

vote-for2vote-against

@shrdlu: I saw that ohcherie popped onto the top rep leaderboard. I don't remember seeing them on there before a couple of days ago, was I being inattentive again?

pneumatic

vote-for2vote-against

@theoneill555: You have been very inattentive. That account has been there for about a week. For a while I was voting up everything comment that @sgoman5674, @unclefrog, and @mfladd had ever made, but that got boring, quick. It doesn't please me to see it, but I don't make the rules. That move upward was before this change in reputation that I noticed, by the way. It may be easier (or more difficult) to move up, depending on what exactly has changed.

I'm just happy that we could make a goofy funny question popular without rewarding the noodge that originally posted by giving him (or her) undeserved reputation points.
