has anyone else noticed cvs & grocery stores marketing ping pong balls with alchohol?
I know beer pong is popular, but to see sixpacks of ping pong balls hanging in the middle of the hard liquor at cvs, safeway, and raley's/belair grocery stores seems a little tacky.

Tacky? I don't drink but that sounds like good marketing to me.
I love it, when you're buying beer you always see them and go, oh, do I need some more? Also, they should start putting the Solo cups there too.
Your CVS sells alcohol? Weird.
You mean ping pong balls FILLED with alcohol? That sounds pretty cool!

I am glad that they are trying to keep themselves relevant and keeping their marketing hip.
Spring break!!! Or something like that.
@gregorylikescheapstu: Where do you live? Some only sell beer and wine, some are full liquor...
@journeyloaded: Massachusetts. I've never seen them sell any alcohol whatsoever. MA has stringent regulations on who can sell alcohol. A few years back I recall voting on a question to increase the number of non-liquor stores aloud to sell liquor. It wasn't until after that (it passed) I saw the first grocery store with beer and wine.
...But I never imagined CVS. I could pick up cigarettes, beer, inhalers, mood-stabilizers and blood-pressure pills all in the same place! How convenient. :p
Beruit.
Our CVS has several rows of alcohol...beer, wine and hard liquor. It's my favorite place to buy booze, always something on sale and within walking distance. I haven't noticed ping pong balls but it's a great marketing strategy.
@gregorylikescheapstu: riteaid and cvs in California sell hard liquor beer & wine. GREAT deals, too. Got 10 bottles of bacardi for new years for about $9 after rebates.
It would be fun to watch drunks try to play ping pong, tho.
