are these knives any good?

there was a deal posted http://deals.woot.com/deals/details/f6b8cd07-eedf-4731-873f-0158d21266a6/sportsman-dream-knife-set-7-pc-stainless-steel?page=0#bea49b8b-6ffb-4831-9c98-f6869538e3a2 on "sportsman dream knife set" the price is pretty cheap. does anyone know if these are any good?

thanks! i had gotten my brother one of the SOG knives from a woot off last year and that seems like a great purchase. saw this set on the deal and thought it might be another great find but the price did seem a bit low for them to be any good but you never know. i'll definitely pass on this deal though.

Don't feel compelled to order before comfortable, as the savings isn't even significant. Sells for $11 on Amazon. Not worth impulse buying crap.

@lavikinga: very true.

I am always suspect of an item being sold on the internet when you cannot identify the country of origin or the maker/manufacturer.

Woot did have some decent deals on some SOG knives a while back, that would have been something to buy. I am not saying they make the best knife, but it would have been a decent knife.

A good quality hunting knife/outdoor knife will last you your entire lifetime and your kids, and possibly your grandchildrens lives (if maintained properly and not abused). I value quality over cheap prices every time, but alot of people don't share my viewpoint.

I'm afraid these may be a case of you-get-what-you-pay-for. Good for a tackle box, but don't expect high quality or a lasting edge.
