Why is there 6,592 (and counting) pages of deals?
I mean, after two years I would think the deal is pretty much over. Seems pointless to keep them past a month.

Go through and tattle on all of them. Think of what it will do for your rep.
Pointless? Hmmmm, why yes it is. Maybe deals is trying to get on "The (Online) Hoarders."
Because Woot is that awesome!
@dtarules: Wondering why you think 1,000's of pages of dead deals is awesome? Maybe that explains why I don't understand the "Awesome" meter. ;-)
I agree that some of the deals are far too old, but it is not generally true that they expire in a month. I do keep tabs on deals I have added and RIP them when they are dead. Some hang on A LOT longer than I thought they would. How about a) better rep for RIP'ing your own deals AND b) providing a slot for expiration dates when the deal is added (many deals are "today only")? this would clean up a lot. Oh, and "archiving" all the RIP'd deals so we don't have to see them unless we really want to search through them?
I've actually gone through and tattled on some of the older deals just to try and clean those pages up, and I have found some are still active. I've also found that most link to sites that aren't around anymore. Personally I think anything older than 6 months should just be removed. I'd rather have someone repost again than try to find a deal from a year ago.
