Where can I repair a Canon ZR60 digital video camcorder?

I have a Canon ZR60 Digital Video Camcorder that I'm pretty sure needs to be repaired. When I try to eject the Mini-DV tape from the camcorder the tray mechanism opens halfway, then after a short (5 second) pause automatically closes.

Has anyone had any luck getting a Canon (or similar digital video camcorder) repaired online?

I agree with shrdlu find someone local and not the ritz camera place either but someone independent, the will know what to do and if it needs to be sent off or if it is something they can do in house. Problem is so much repair work needs to be shipped off now a days. I know at work we sent our camera, which was under warranty off to be repaired. They couldn't fix it the only option was to buy a new one at a reduced rate which actually worked out pretty well they used the old camera as a trade in and we were able to get a new camera for half the price.
