Have you tried the Office, Family Guy, or American Dad?

vote-for1vote-against

I gave up on The Office early last season. I will occasionally watch Family Guy and American Dad. You did remind me, I left one off my regular viewing list: The Simpsons.

@rustybender: I figured if you weren't watching the Simpsons already, you probably weren't going to on my advice...

Two more to an already good list : Justified (FX)
Eureka (Syfy)

I have Season Passes for most of the shows you are already watching, so I think we might have similar interests. Some shows I like that you may consider are:

The League, The Big Bang Theory, and Happy Endings.

vote-for3vote-against

Alphas, Haven, Warehouse 13, NCIS & Bones...

arrested development and better off ted if you have netflix and 30 rock

I don't know how you feel about acappella singing, but The Sing Off is fantastic. It's like an American Idol spin off, but the judges know things about music and the groups that perform are normally very impressive. I think it's Mondays on Fox.

Terra Nova just started last night. Not sure what to think of it yet, but fairly interesting so far. Dinosaurs, time travel, futuristic stuff, etc. Worth at least the check out.

I'm also a fan of Death Valley. It's like a cross between Reno 911 and a zombie movie. I love me some Jersey Shore, but it's the only real show that MTV has to offer that I will watch.

How I Met Your Mother... Legen-I-Hope-You-Aren't-Lactose-Intolerant-dary

I've got to second the votes for Big Bang Theory and The Sing Off... It's still way too early to tell about Terra Nova, but the fact that Spielberg is footing the bill from his own pocket as a pet project makes it an interesting experiment. But as to the merits of the aforementioned, The Big Bang Theory is a piece of absolute brilliance from Chuck Lorre - a mixture of the nerdtacular and more commonly accessible humour. And The Sing Off has already been praised for having actual musicians as the adjudicators - a much more refined and educated take on the previous generations of music competition shows.

And How I Met Your Mother is just great :) I don't know of anyone who doesn't like that series.

I'm a fan of all the shows on your list, and I'll second: The League, 30 Rock, and the Big Bang Theory.

I also suggest you try Party Down and Doctor Who.

vote-for1vote-against

Blue Mountain State on Spike. Eric Falconer and Chris Romano came from the Sarah Silverman show as well as Dan Harmons Brain Trust: Channel 101.
Louie.
I think Netflix has discontinued Starz integration, so no Party Down on it anymore.

Burn Notice (USA) is one of my favorites. It's good to go back to the beginning to watch rather than jumping in the middle. You learn to appreciate the Michael/Fi/Sam dynamic.

I'm a big fan of Fringe. It seems that most people who watch it either love it or hate it. However if you haven't seen it yet I would very highly recommend catching the start of season one as the show is very serialized. I think you can stream it on netflix now...

vote-for1vote-against

I completely second Alphas. Also, Castle and Chuck are two of my favorites. They're both pretty far along, Castle started season 4 last week and Chuck is about to go into its 5th and final season, but they're both terrific shows IMO

vote-for6vote-against

Phineas and Ferb. No other show rewards repeat viewers more.

vote-for2vote-against

Big Bang Theory, Burn Notice, & Mad Men are 3 of my favorites. Prime Suspect just came out but it seems pretty good.

vote-for5vote-against

Suits is great, all though their season just ended. Royal Pains is good as well, though I suspect that you need to watch it from the beginning to understand the relationship between the regular and not so regular characters.

"Have you met Ted?"

Speaking of Ted (How I met your Mother reference), Better Off Ted was an amazing show. It's unfortunate that it only really made it one season (On Netflix now).

I also watch (As some have suggested above)
Bones
Alpha
Eurika
The Big Bang Theory
River Monsters
Sons of Guns
Chuck
Burn Notice
House
Psych
Hawaii 5 0
Community
White Collar
Human Target (Though I think it was canceled)
Mythbusters
Leverage
The Mentalist
Top Gear (The british one, not the USA remake)
Modern Family
ChaosCovert Affairs
Castle
Rob & Big
The Fantasy Factory
One Man Army (I more fast forward through to the challenges, too much talking and the host annoys me.)

vote-for2vote-against

"How I Met Your Mother" and "Big Bang Theory" are great!

I am currently giving "2 Broke Girls" and "Up All Night" a shot. "Raising Hope" is ok if you liked "My Name is Earl".

"Suits" ended their first season on USA and I found it pretty good.

vote-for1vote-against

Sons of Anarchy. Catch Season One and Two on Netflix if you have it or head to video store of choice and catch up. It is a phenomenal series and they just started season 4.

vote-for2vote-against

Criminal Minds! I think the new episodes air on CBS, but A&E and ion always air episodes.

vote-for2vote-against

@elforman: I second the vote for Phineas and Ferb. My wife and I sometimes battle over who gets to watch it with our son. Bets children's programming since ... possibly ever. In fact, I should really buy "the daze of summer" on DVD and give it to our daycare provider, I would much rather have our son watch this at daycare than barney.

vote-for2vote-against

@lparsons42: Why do you have to argue over who gets to watch it with your son? You can't both watch it together? Is this some kind of restraining order situation?

As for your observation of best children's programming since ... ever, I might replace 'ever' with Animaniacs. However, I think that P&F may have actually exceeded Animaniacs at this point, which, to those who know me well, practically borders on heresy.

vote-for1vote-against

@bogie21: the british top gear is my favorite show ever. if only we could actually watch it over here without resorting to torrents

vote-for1vote-against

Thanks for all the suggestions. My head is now spinning from suggestion overload. Narrowing them all down to 1 or 2 is going to be tough.

vote-for1vote-against

@lparsons42 - Fringe is indeed on Netflix streaming, which is how I've been watching them so far.

vote-for1vote-against

@woothulhu: true, but then you have to buy a big cable package just for that channel and they don't show the new episodes for about 2 months after they air in england

vote-for1vote-against

@adam113089: I believe it's on Netflix now. Though you're not going to get their newest episodes in a while.
