from your link, the sorting order chosen to display is "recent first", so when i click your link example it shows the latest answers at the top which is weird. see at the end of your link where it says "?sort=newest"?
here's the same thread without a sorting order chosen

http://deals.woot.com/questions/details/e65354df-f204-45cc-8a31-f4a7fc007da8/will-the-world-end-in-2012#30

when i searched for that thread and clicked into it, it showed the regular sorting which is "oldest first"
where did you first click into that link from? google? if so, looks like the crawled page on google has the "newest first" setting chosen, who knows why

@w00tgurl:

Oh. Yeah. Duh. That didn't occur to me. At. All.

I definitely need some sleep.

I'm going to go away now.

@baqui63: it's cool. i mentioned your name in a deal, to test if your paging is working. no email? i'm not getting emails either, by mention or by thread subscription :(
this emails-getting-stuck issue happens every few months on deals.woot, though

sort=newest will cause the newest responses to be listed first, as opposed to the default sort=oldest.

At least some of the timestamps are wrong, though. (Notice that no hour value is greater than 12.)

It makes sense in that order, but if arranged by timestamp, the answer precedes the question.

@chris12345:

Interesting... it looks like the code that generates the title tags for the comment timestamps uses a 12 hour format without an AM/PM indicator.

Good catch.
