Is the leaderboard part of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy?

In HGTTG, the universe is a big computer (the Leaderboard) trying to find "the answer" and we are all lab rats contributing to the calculation. In the end (spoiler alert) the answer was "42" so that means the black triangles aren't even close.

Not sure what you're talking about, but my goal has always been to become ranked as 42nd on the site, and the only way to do that is to be a black triangle.

Join date just a few days or so after the site went live (7/18/2004), but never ever used. I think that someone ought to just change the password, and give me that account. Then I could truly own the ldrbrd.

It can't possibly be part of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, for if it were it would have the words "DON'T PANIC" in large, friendly letters on it.
