What's the best cassette adapter out there?
I have a 2002 vehicle and am not interested in spending the money to have an mp3 cable rigged up. I bought a cheap cassette adapter for my ipod and it works great but makes a clicking sound - and actually not the best sounds quality. Anyways, I am now willing to pay more for a good one after being pleased with the idea overall. I was about to buy this Monster adapter: http://www.amazon.com/Monster-iCarPlay-Cassette-Adapter-iPhone/dp/B002DW92IE
... but the reviews are mixed. Anyone have a better suggestion?

I don't know which cassette adapter is the best, but if you do buy that one, save yourself $8.40 and get it from buy.com.
This one worked great for me, and it's only $5.93 shipped!
I got one from Amazon a couple weeks ago, my ancient one finally gave up.
It was a Sony one I purchased.
My suggestion is to purchase an adapter that transmits via FM radio, but that may just be my personal bias showing.
I've always had much better results with a cassette adapter than an FM transmitter. The adapter I bought for $1 in a dollar store gave me more consistent sound quality than several different expensive FM transmitters.
I've gone through many cassette adapters over the years and haven't seen much difference in quality. (Except for one I bought from monoprice.com which was awful.) (But I can't dis monoprice. They're usually fantastic.)
agreed, I always have problems with the FM transmitters, especially when i am traveling. I went for the Monster adapter from buy.com for $10. Hopefully its as good as any of them out there. I will post back how it compares to others i have tried. Thanks all!
