What a coincidence that you should mention Mogwai, I just discovered them, really like them. They do the soundtrack to "the returned" an incredible show on Sundance.

Sorry I didn't answer your question. I got nothing on that. :-(
Curious what album you would recommend, for someone just discovering Mogwai though.

@pickypickypicky: The Hawk is Howling and Mr Beast are both great albums with which to start. And if you end up liking Mogwai, check out the band Explosions in the Sky. Very similar style, with excellent composition and musicianship.

Billy Joel will be at PNC in February :-) a week later will be the eagles. I heard rumors of a Genesis reunion as well.

Looking forward to some X-Men and hoping they don't crap all over it. I hope this is awesome.

Godzilla - looks good!

Noah - yeah I never thought they could make a film about this that made me want to watch it but I do.

Came here to say Tool but I don't think a 2014 release is at all guaranteed, unfortunately.

The Dollyrots are releasing an album in February. Demos have sounded good. Movies: The Monuments Men -- great cast + I love a heist film and Captain America: The Winter Soldier -- glad they added in The Falcon, have been hearing good things.

As far as films go, I am super-psyched for Christopher Gans' adaptation of the original version of Beauty and the Beast. He's the dude behind Le Pacte Des Loups (Brotherhood of the Wolf), so I'm confident this movie is going to be gorgeous, tortured, sexy, violent, and very very French--with superb sound editing, of course (the best use of sound I've ever been conscious of in a film is when, in the opening scene of pacte des loups, the peasant girl is being smacked against the boulders by the wolf; oh, it's cringingly magnificent). Ahhh, so excite!!!
