Does anyone still play FFXI or FFXIV or have any suggestions of good MMORGP'S?

I played ffxi for a few years, switched to ffxiv for a month or two then stopped playing both all together...I need something to keep me busy instead of shopping and wasting my money. Any suggestions?

Did you get a chance to beta test The Old Republic?

I did because once upon a time I played WoW with a passion. I quit and vowed to never play another MMO until I saw the game-play/panel for SWTOR at PAX 2009.

I decided it looked so "pretty" I had to give it a chance.

If you enjoy MMO's and liked WoW, or Starwars, or RPG's you will probably enjoy it.

I just started playing FFXIV a week ago today and I'm totally hooked and having a good time! Of course, since EVERYTHING was new for me I didnt have to deal with the pre-1.19 patch disappointment.

Also as the above poster said, there is always that new star wars beta, its worth a shot to see if you can get in if you enjoy that kind of game.

My kid plays FFXIV all the time with only a couple of breaks a day for biobreaks and food. When I poke my head into his room I usually see his chicken's butt (yes, I know it's a chocobo but it has a chicken's butt).

@tiamat114: I preordered FFXIV when it came out, bought a new laptop to handle the game then was lost when I first started because there was so many glitches :( Is it better now? Is it worth going back to you think? I havent done the star wars thing...never even watched it dont tell anyone, but Ill look at that too!

@mdiltz01: Well, you should give it another shot. They just added a very large patch improvement at the start of November which is why I jumped in, and it's still free to play until January so you have a month yet to try it out. March is the 2.0 re-release so it'll be a whole new game of awesomeness then!

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
