What are the best iPad apps for kids?

The little ones (4 and 6) in my life will now have access to an iPad on a more regular basis after Christmas. I am setting it up, so I'd like to put some good kid-oriented apps on there. I found a great phonics game (PocketPhoncs) but the rest that they play on my iPad or the available phones are usually games. I'm looking for beginning math and reading especially. Basic addition, subtraction, learning to read and other developmental aids for that age and as they grow.

There are tons of great storybook apps..."The Monster at the End of this Book" and "Another Monster at the end of this Book" are the current favorites of my 2 and 4 year-old. They are highly interactive.

If your kids like Dolphins, Playing With Dolphins and Dolphins Alarm Clock are 2 that are somewhat entreating . Not games just kind of a virtual pet but it is a real dolphin, not computer generated.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.
