During a NY Rangers game I won a Raffle that my son told me to fill out. We ended up winning a NY Monopoly edition a NY Monopoly T shirt and we were on there Jumbo Tron and got kissed by Miss NY, That was when I was handed the grand prize, $500 worth of NY instant Monopoly scratch off tickets. After scratching off all 500 tickets we ended up with $300.

I won a wristwatch from Ben's Bargains website for responding to a survey.

It was worth more than $100. I gave it to a friend who still wears a watch.

My personal winnings that were not of extreme value, but things I won:
In high school for the senior prom we built a gazebo (for taking pics at prom, it had a garden theme) and sold raffle tickets to raise money for the prom, 1st prize was the gazeo itself, 2nd prize was $1000, 3rd prize was $500. I actually ended up winning the gazebo and my cousin won the $1,000.
Then for my one of my "mile stone" birthdays my husband took me to Atlantic City for the weekend, I put $20 in a slot machine and won $1,000 on the day of my birthday, so that was cool.

My best friend's husband won a new Harley Davidson motorcycle a few years ago by buying raffle tickets at a carnival (3 for $5). I think that's the most valuable thing anyone I personally know has won.

$500 from the california lottery about 15 years ago, $1250 jackpot on a slot machine TWICE in vegas, a radio contest where I won a father's day package of a new lawn mower, nice bathrobe, tons of fishing gear, a nice gas grill, some gift certs to various restaurants, and a few other small items. Worth around $800 at the time (10 or so years ago).

I always play the "red white and blue 7's" wheel of fortune 25c slot in vegas right before we leave town, and almost always come out ahead.... superstition, yes, but it works for me for about 15 years now!

The item I won worth the most was a $1000 from a Lotto scratcher given to me for my birthday....

....the best thing I ever won was a night out on the town which included limo, a real nice dinner and tickets to see Sammy Hagar which included backstage passes.... what a night that was....

$1200+ on a poker slot machine jackpot in Vegas. Drew to an inside straight. ;-) Have done okay on the blackjack tables. Enough to buy a gold watch for my love. ----> Late husband won a 7 day cruise for 2 on Norweigan (sp?) Cruise Lines. It was divine! Several wins of $200+ in the FL lottery. Not done yet. :-D

My most valuable prize won was an all-expenses paid trip to St. Tropez, France and assorted suntan products. The next valuable is the signed Fender guitar which I gave to my husband.

I haven't won anything significant yet, but after tomorrow I will win my battle with cigarettes. :)

A crocodile purse and diamond earrings; the organization that gave them away said that the purse was worth $3,000 and the earrings $6,000. I found the price for the earrings (they're right), but I get the feeling that the bag is one of a kind.

Just over $1,000 a couple of times on slot machines. A relative's rubber ducky just recently won a new car.

@moosezilla: The awkward moment when I just realized you aren't a guy. But I agree with you though!

Back to topic, I think I have the worst luck in the world. Because I won like $20 from Super Lottery Black yesterday in Chinatown and that's like the only time I've ever won money from a scratch card.

I went to an Alton Brown book signing/ talk at a my local bookstore. They had a drawing where the winner not only got to meet AB first and have him sign the stuff you brought, but also got to pick one his books I didn't already have and have him sign that as well. I consider that a pretty significant win considering there were a few hundred people seeing him that night.

That and I'm a huge fan.

My wife won us a trip to Disneyworld a few years back. It was fun.

I won a Citizens gold watch on a radio talk show when I was in graduate school. I think was worth $175 at the time. There was supposed to be a $150 limit, but I convinced the jeweler to give me the "upgraded" version, because it actually had numbers on it, and none of the others did. Hard to find numbers on a ladies watch.

Not the most valuable prize in the world, but I wore it daily for a decade before it died. Still miss that watch!

I won a football signed by the 1979 superbowl-winning Steelers.

I won an 8GB iPod touch in a drawing a few years ago. That was a nice surprise.

@bluejester: That would be cool. I would love to meet him. I'm also a huge fan. Actually, I'd really like to just sit around and have a beer or two in a backyard with him. He seems pretty cool. Plus, I apparently lived right by him in Alpharetta before I I moved from Georgia.

I haven't won much but then again I haven't entered many contests.

My "coolest" win was just before the last season of 24 which I loved. I won this cool hard-sided equipment case that has the logo on it. Inside was a replica Jack Bauer jacket, a cool long-sleeve 24 T-Shirt and every season on DVD including the movie they did during the writers strike.

I don't think it was particularly valuable but I won a swag pack on Twitter a while ago from Plants vs. Zombies. Baseball hat, notepad, stickers, zombie figurine... :) It still makes me happy.
