I can power nap. 5-10 minutes and I am fresh as the morning after coffee.

For just daily stress relief I try to get to the gym for about 60-90 minutes five days a week. I do a variety of activities, a couple of classes, cardio, weights, balance work, abs, at least 10 minutes of stretching. I used to take a cardio kickboxing class where we actually got to make contact with standing bags. I called it percussive therapy. It was great stress relief.

For times when I need to just get away from life and stuff, I sometimes schedule a night to go to dinner and see a movie of no consequence (often something where stuff blows up a lot, ideally with some humor in it) with the understanding that this is a "get away from my stressful life, so I'm not going to talk about my stressful life" evening. It usually ends with excessive amounts of ice cream.

I also like to get away for a long weekend either to go hang out with my sister and her family (nothing like playing with my nephews) or visiting friends who are fine with just hanging out all weekend.

There is no better feeling than WINNING! I'm not talking the Charlie version. personally I play poker. Best way to de-stress.

Exercise! For me, stress builds up physically and exercise both exhausts me and helps release the stress. Unfortunately, when I'm stressed, I often feel like I don't have time or I feel so rotten physically that I don't want to exercise, so I'm not very good at following through on this. :(

ETA: A short walk can also help and I'm a bit better at implementing this than full-on exercise. When I feel like I'm going to implode, I tried to grab music and headphones, and just go wander outside for 10 minutes. It's helpful to remove myself from the situation, works out a bit of excess energy, the music really helps, and I find that I can think more clearly when I'm moving, so it also helps me find solutions that I can't see when I'm staring directly at the source of stress.
