Are you annoyed by all the crab deals?

Personally, I don't mind at all and think it is kind of funny to have silly inside jokes every once in a while. I don't mind sorting through all the crab stuff on the fresh tab because I normally have to trudge through a bunch of crap to find the real deals anyway.

There does seem to be quite a few people peturbed by all the crab deals, though quite a few of them seem like more casual people who probably mostly use the popular deals tab. What's your opinion?

I don't really care. I'm not on the popular deals tab much. I care more about the fresh deals.

It isn't that difficult to ignore the crab deals.

Yesterday, I tried to mix things up a little with some deals on crawdads, mussels and other shellfish and crustaceans, but no one jumped on the bandwagon. I even went so far as to post a deal on a medicine to treat "crab" infestations! Today, I've given in to the dark side, or would that be orange side?

If it's a "deal" then no problem. Posting a crab related item just because it's a crab related item annoys me. It was funny at first but now it's defeating the purpose of the entire website.

its not really annoying but its also not funny, so i just dont see the point. i'm sure i'm missing the joke, but even if i weren't, posting 5000 different ways to spend money on crab paraphinalia just isn't funny to me

That's a no-brainer. Yes it's annoying. Why would this be beneficial or even amusing to the customer base? What is the market for this stuff?

I used to love woot oh so much.

You know...there is a time when the deals.woot.com community just enjoys being fully unleashed...crabs, bacon, zombies, poo... and well, that's just being part of the community. The real deals are still hidden in there... you just need to don your clamdiggers, pick up a shovel and dig a little deeper. deals wooters just wanna have fun...

This stuff just showcases how stupid the internet is getting... if it's not crabs, it's bacon. If it's not bacon, it's zombies. If it's not zombies, it's some other dumb fad. If you're at a star trek website, it's tribbles!! The internet is full of these ridiculous hot words that serve no purpose but to derail and annoy everyone who's casually passing!!!

One thing they all have in common- they're not remotely funny. Did our current generation just never grow up?
