questionsdid ya hear? a&e caved in! phil is back!!!

A&E conveniently forgot to mention their (A&E's) fourth value--money.

@barnabee: I've already I still supposed to boycott a show/channel that I never watch so I can be politically correct around here?

@barnabee: Same reason The Weather Channel now names winter storms - so they can sensationalize the weather and draw more viewers.

AND...I still have never seen it.

@mtm2: Naming winter storms is ridiculous. However, I've always wanted a hurricane named after me--Hurricane barnabee. Now, doesn't that strike fear in you?

Still don't care, still don't watch it, am now very tired of hearing about it. But for the sake of "fair and balanced" (haha), can someone hook me up with a link to what Phil ACTUALLY said? I don't want any filtered commentary from the left or the right.

@hot72chev: Here's a link to the GQ article:

And, so you can't say you've never seen it, here's a classic clip from the show starring Uncle Si:

Aren't you glad you asked?? ;-)

This was predicted like 2 days after the "controversy". Totally planned fake outrage.

@skispeakeasy: I agree as staged as the poo eating clip above.

@dealseekerdude: You get the week's gold star for providing that clip.

"A video has surfaced on YouTube in which the "Duck Dynasty" patriarch advises men to marry teenage girls.

'"Look, you wait 'til they get to be 20 years old, the only picking that's going to take place is your pocket," he said. "You got to marry these girls when they are about 15 or 16. They'll pick your ducks. You need to check with mom and dad about that, of course."'

Robertson, who married his wife when she was 15 (he's four years older than Marsha Kay), gave other "river rat counseling," too.

'"Make sure that she can cook a meal. You need to eat some meals that she cooks. Check that out," he said. "Make sure she carries her Bible. That'll save you a lot of trouble down the road. And if she picks your ducks, now that's a woman!"'

The video was reportedly recorded in 2009 at a Sportsmen's Ministry event in Georgia."

Happy, Happy, Happy to say I've never watched this show.
