Didn't look like Microcenter was advertising on Woot. They were probably clearing out stock and a Wooter just hit a gold mine. I'm hoping they'll carry through on the backorder though.

@gknight825: that sucks. i'm especially glad you finished the story. the first textbox you get is for the title and after that you get a big paragraph section to type whatever you want

for a computer retail store, microcenter's online division must be lacking in woot o nomics. similar to featured businesses during a google doodle, BE PREPARED.

anyway i hope you get the TV, if not ask them to honor the price on backorder or virtual raincheck since they've been giving you such a runaround with this item. i've visited their physical store and they have good prices on most goodies, and everyone i've talked to about them likes the store. good luck

... I bought the one from microcenter that was 200 from deals woot. After being charged and provided with a shipping date, I was then informed by the company the next day that the item was on backorder. I called up to find out when they would be getting more in and the customer service rep told me they did not have an order placed with the manufacturer. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the rep hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor again and was told they were in a meeting. I finally got a call back a few hours later and I was told that they would give me another call at the end of the day to let me know whether or not they were able to place the order. Basically they sold more then they had in stock and I only have 200 to spend on a tv and that was the deal I was looking for. Ill update you if I ever get confirmation that I will be receiving the TV but I doubt it and am currently looking for a good deal on another one.

Odd. Not a noob if one goes by the join date. I'm curious as to the rest of the question too! Finish the story! Finish the story!!

if you're in no hurry, you should be able to snag a tv for that price-ish around the holidays. also, the less picky you are about the brand, the better you can do. we got a 32" Emerson for $198 on Black Friday, for example. It hasn't been a year yet, so I can't speak to longevity, but it's doing just great so far with daily use.

He was probably referring to this deal (http://tinyurl.com/62vr82t) which sold out. @gknight825: TVs this size usually go for at least $250-$300.
