Little advice: When you start sharing the shower with someone else, check the walls for hangers-oners. That's gross.

My brother used to do that when we lived at home. It's gross. You need to stop doing it.

Don't feel bad, there are worse things being done in showers around the world. Quite possibly near you.

Only if I somehow manage to breath in water or soap when washing my face. Not exactly the best feeling in the world. Pretty sure that's kinda a reflex thing, though. Does that count?

The steam loosens my sinuses up, so it's a very logical routine. I plug my ears and then blow out one nostril followed by the other. I face the drain while doing it so it always gets washed away. It's very effective and no harm, no foul. Plus it's good for the environment because you're not wasting paper products.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this. I do it every day. It all goes down the drain instead of using tissues and creating waste and chaffing my nose.

vote-for3vote-against

Is there another way to do it?

vote-for10vote-against

Hmmmm maybe I need to ask a "pee in the shower" question.

@llamabox: Too late, Madonna already asked this question :)

My boyfriend always lets his snot rockets fly while showering. It grosses me out.

vote-for3vote-against

I do but I make sure to not leave any trace of the act.

I blow into my hands like they are paper then wash my hands. NEVER would I pick and leave them on the walls thats just nasty. I mean there are a lot worse things that happen in the shower from urine to ahem other fluids that some mucus is the least of anyone's worries.

I have really bad allergies so when I wake up and take a shower the moisture of the shower and steam makes a great combination to get all of that overnight mucus out so I feel "normal" during the day.

I do it every morning as well. And it's the best when I have a head cold. As it was mentioned the steam loosens everything up. My nose is the clearest right out of the shower.

@zapp brannigan:

This is what I do. My ol' lady doesn't like it one bit. I always make sure there isn't any leftovers of course!

I wonder if any of the ones who said yes are women.

vote-for3vote-against

I did, until my wife asked me to stop.

vote-for2vote-against

I do it pretty much every morning, especially during allergy season. I got so used to doing it that I forgot I was doing it until my fiancee said something. It grosses her out. Oh well :)

Agree with @bsmith1 about preserving the environment. Save a tree, blow your nose in the shower!

vote-for2vote-against

I do it while peeing... don't get why people get so grossed out by it.

My wife and I shower together 80% of the time, she blows her nose almost every time and it doesn't bother me.

I just pee on her to get back at her ;) j/k

But, as others have mentioned, she blows her nose into her hand then rinses them off with the water. I see nothing wrong with it, unless it was super loud or unusually gross.

Almost every single time. I'm usually stuffed up when I first wake up, makes sense.

vote-for1vote-against

Not too different from using a neti-pot, really.

vote-for1vote-against

er no but then again I never really thought about it. I do it after I get out if I feel the need to but never in. So I guess I go with the bachelor thing. I feel that my SO would be disgusted by it and I don't know how I feel. I want to say ew but honestly I've seen and heard of worse things.

Just came back to say I hate you @tossthedice. I never once had the urge to do this and now I find myself needing to blow my nose in the shower.
