I found a fish finder watch, can I do anything with it?
Ok so I use to have this old fish finder gadget I was given that was a green bobber (sorry if thats misspelled) and a watch which would show you where the fish were. Now I found the watch after many years and it still turns on but I am sure I don't have the bobber anymore. So is there anything I can do with the watch? It is from hummingbird.com says rf 30 smartcast on the watch, I tried simple google searches for hacking fish finders but mostly I just get hacking fish games. So if anyone knows a better website that I could look at for modding/hacking/changing this watch to do something productive let me know. I hate to throw away a piece of tech that may be able to be turned into something cool. Anyone have any ideas?
No, not really. It sounds like you have exhausted all avenues as to it's usefulness. Maybe find a replacement bobber somewhere?
I'd start at hackaday. If you can't something that someone has done similar, the peeps in the forum should be able to point you in the right direction or give you some tips to get you going.
You can buy a new remote sensor[/url] for $25:
