What is the best way to see if old stereo albums have any monetary value?
I am desparately trying to de-crap my house (or at least make some pathways through the stuff). I just came across a huge stack of stereo albums that had belonged to my late FIL, and DH tells me just to pitch them, but I don't have the heart to do that. Most of them are probably worthless (Jerry Lewis Sings? Really?), but there are some pretty decent old jazz albums, some autographed albums from early rock bands, and some other pretty interesting things.
They may all be worthless, but I can't help thinking that there might be a collector out there who would love to buy some of them (more money means I can buy MORE crap!). I don't really want to fight this on eBay, and don't know where to look to see if any of these are of value or to find a place where collectors might gather. For now I've boxed them up (thereby starting yet another stack of crap to deal with), but I'm hoping for some Wootizen guidance here. Does anyone have any suggestions?
