How would you phrase "No Take-Backs" alert for votes?
@xarous wanted to know when it was going to change in light of the new downvoting, and @shawnmiller asked for how to change the wording. Should it change at all?
Right now it reads:
"Too late, we all heard you!
Hmm... you're wanting to take your vote back?
Well, that's a bit tricky. See, we do a lot of stuff with your vote, using it to work out the popularity of what you voted on, compare that to all the other things voted on, tally up our leaderboard, work out your reputation. Someday we'll do a little cartoon showing just how hard your vote is working.
Anyway, taking votes back messes all that up, so we give you five minutes, in case you just mis-clicked. After that we've got to say no take-backs. Luckily, votes are free, so feel free to throw them around left and right wherever you see fit."
How should they incorporate the rules on downvotes (i.e. cannot downvote if downvotes-votes >= 0 over the last 24 hrs)?
Remember, we like humor.
Crowd-sourcing ftw!

"Nuh uh uh, no take backs. Own your opinion!"
In the case that you mentioned (not being able to place the down vote), you shouldn't get the "too, late" message. You should get an entirely new message that states "you can't diss until you vote for dat".
@colonelpuffpuff: That message currently reads:
"Geez, why so negative?
"You have to vote up more before you can vote down.
"Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.
"But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?"
@chris12345: Thank you, I hadn't gotten that one and was curious.
I enjoy the new way of voting for or against, I just wish people would explain most. Would be nice to have a mandatory coment or even options to vote negative so people understand why it is not a good deal.
No way! No take backs! No, no, no I said no take-backs!
Ow! Not fair! I'm tellin mom! Get away, I'm tellin and you can't stop me.

Mom?
@chris12345: Thanks, I hadn't seen it either. I'm a voter not a hater. :)
@drigout: Haven't a clue. The site seems a little shady to me, but I don't know. Your concerns have been better addressed elsewhere.

If you can make it through.
Hmm, is that an auto-negative for editing a reply? Just goin' for legibility. Yikes.
@trahentis @colonelpuffpuff: You're welcome. I'm just so goshdarn negative.
I think they need to add the little cartoon as the result of trying to take a back a vote, in the form of a why you can't take back your vote service announcement cartoon.
I'd like to see a message that says: Taking back your vote means you cannot vote for the next 24 hours. Or, you are about to be banned from deals - have a nice day.
Whether or not it is true is a different story.
