Why can I not vote?
Yes I know the answer it's a bug. Anyone else have this problem?

@jumbowoot, @shawnmiller, @josefresno I joined today it seems to be same problem as last time just different users.
I just noticed @faughtey is back on the leaderboard so not a different set of users just more.
I was wondering if something fishy was going on.. Last week my rep was in the 97%-99% range, then one day i saw that it was down to 83%.. not a big problem but i wondered why it shot down so significantly.. then i looked at the leaderboard and saw that my "deals posted" and "comments added" gauges were both pointing all the way to the left, which wasn't the case just a few days ago..
i'm not overly concerned about it, just found it a bit odd..
thilderbrand20, I've pointed out over on one of the questions on chat that some of us (but not all) are having the voting issue again. It's probably the Mekaver's fault.
[Edit] Even goofier. How can a system that puts me at number 12 on the leaderboard for votes, not let me vote?

I personally voted up each and every comment. Thank goodness for being able to vote again.

@heymo: I don't think she quit. I think it's just the Terrible Two, messing with our lives. Rather like lolcats, except for not always being so funny. Earlier, @faughtey couldn't even vote, so not having a staff badge is less evil.
Fooey. I wonder if this is something that is only affecting black triangles???

I just went out and did a quick little survey, and there are plenty of people with black triangles that I know can vote, and that have zero woots. I have not seen this with ANYONE who is not a black triangle (and that is someone I know can vote).
@ohcheri: I was one of the first affected (and certainly one of the first to complain, too). Perhaps it just needs to wend its way through...
Mine's still broke too.

Just as an aside, and offering up new data. There haven't been any new deals posted in an hour, and I'd already noticed that the tidal wave had slowed to a trickle (not normal for a Sunday). Any comments from @shawnmiller or @josefresno would be welcome (and let's not forget the mighty @jumbowoot).

Well, even though we never really heard from staff, I note that @faughtey has her staff badge back, and is invisible on the leaderboard again. I suppose that means things are returning to normal, and settling down.

I can vote, woot!
I can vote but it shows that I have a black square. I haven't achieved blackness, yet. I even signed out and cleared my history and switched between Firefox and IE8 and restarted the computer. I do use a computer that I share with a true black boxer. Weird but if woot wants to give me a black box, I'll take it.
@niloc225: I think you need to lay down the crack pipe. I just looked, and your account info says 10-24 woots, with the appropriate color.
More seriously, that information is usually cached per user, and not something that sticks around (like, for example, a tracking cookie). When you say you have a black square, where do you see this? At the top of the page?
@shrdlu: No crack pipe and yes, I see it on the top of the deals page. However, when I go to woot or shirt.woot, it shows my real colored box. Though when I come back to deals, it shows black again. Still weird.
My WOOT is officially fixed, so thanks to whoever helped out with that. I wasn't sure I'd be able to make it through another day without bein' able to woot stuff.
Let's just pray the day never comes where a man can't freely woot.
@niloc225: Then there's only one explanation for it. Clearly, Deals holds you in such high estimation that it truly believes you are better than anyone else, and wants you to believe it as well. Either that, or it's a weird bug. You choose which one you'd like it to be, and we'll all go with that.
@shrdlu: I actually haven't been on for a couple days so I wouldn't have even known there was a problem in the first place, but thank you very much for thinking of me :)
