questionsdo you have any fast food item tweaks to makeā€¦

McDonald's McDouble with their chipotle barbecue sauce. I swear that sauce even makes their food taste good. :)

No pickles. On anything. Ever.
Also no mustard, ketchup or mayonnaise. BBQ sauce might be permissible but only after it has been tested out "on the side".
Toddler toys in the Mighty Kid Meals at McDonalds. Swap the toy for an "ice cream" at Chick-fil-a and don't get the kids' meal at Sonic until they're out of the little board book about penguins. I eat there maybe once every three months and I've ended up with the little penguin book the last THREE times. That's not a toy. And it wasn't all that interesting the first time around.

The only one I can think of is from Sonic. Get a Route 44 cherry limeade. Drink some of it on the way home. How much you should drink depends on what comes next. When you get home, add enough rum to fill the glass back up. This makes the drink much better.

At this point, a hammock is suggested. It's not necessary, but then again neither is the rum.

I bring swiss cheese with me to put on my McChicken and add some honey mustard to it.

best tweak i made was to stop eating fast food. ;)

If i have no other choices, i'll order whatever salad they have, and whatever dollar/value menu burgers or grilled (not breaded or fried) chicken they have, throw away the bread and crumble the meat into the salad. little to no dressing, or a light something if it seems to need it.

I'm generally un-picky about what comes on my fast food. I'll eat basically anything as long as it doesn't have olives, capers, mushrooms or cauliflower. Even then I'll eat food that has that stuff on it, unless it's easy to pick off/out.

The only thing I do have (and I am incredibly anal about this) is a perfect In-N-Out burger:
Double-double animal style, light spread, no salt, extra raw onion. If I feel like something a little lighter, I'll have them wrap it in lettuce instead of buns. But I'll end up eating two of those, so...

Order a McChicken and a McDouble. Separate the two patties in the McDouble and put the whole McChicken between them.

I am always amending both fast food and restaurant food. The one I do most often is go to Taco Cabana and pick up a chicken cabana bowl (refried beans, rice, chicken, lettuce, tomato, sour cream and cheese in a taco salad shell). It's a generous amount of food, so I can't eat it all in one sitting. I eat the taco shell, the lettuce and some of the chicken, rice and beans, and save the rest. For the next meal I saute a generous amount of onion and tomato in butter, then add the chicken, rice, bean mixture and some frozen corn. Cook together till warm, throw in some cheese if you have it, and use it as a chip dip. Better than the original dish.

Oh yeah, here's my secret pasta recipe. Go to Souper Salad, get takeout. Fill half the takeout container with pepperoni, diced ham, onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, olives and tomatoes. Fill the other half with the salad of your choosing. Stop on the way home and buy a large can of crushed tomatoes and some pasta. Eat the salad half for lunch. For dinner, saute the meat and chopped veggies in a little olive oil and/or butter. Keep them covered to reserve the liquid. Add the can of crushed tomatoes and simmer together on low while the pasta cooks. Add Italian seasonings as desired. Serve sauce over pasta. Makes about 4 servings. Cheaper, faster and easier than buying all the veggies and chopping them up. You could do the same thing for pizza, just buy the crust and the sauce and top with your Souper Salad meats and veggies.
