Did you know that this Friday is designated as "Free Shipping Day?"
I just read in the business section of my local paper that this Friday is the "fourth annual" FreeShipping Day. Accordingly, more than 2,000 retailers have signed up so far for this one-day event for online shoppers to receive goods ordered on that day. Purchases are supposed to be delivered by Christmas Eve. Terms of retailers'offers are supposed to be revealed on www.freeshippingday.com at midnight - Friday. I have been totally unaware for the past three years that such a designated day existed!!

I didn't know but this might make my xmas shopping a little easier... thanks!
Yes.
Excellent !!! Thank you, so many stores are participating,!!! sigh = (meems purse)
That website: http://www.freeshippingday.com/ lists a bunch of participants, including some big ones. (Woot is NOT one of them.) The page says that shipping will be free and will arrive by Christmas. Sounds good to me!
@nortonsark: It might depend on amount spent in some stores or certain items. Since it states on the wesite that details will be available on Friday at 12AM, I am not sure that it covers every item in every store. I have never felt that the $5.00 charge by Woot on items is by any means a dealbreaker. However, there are some vendors whose charges are very high especially for heavy items by weight.
Amazon almost has free shipping. don't need a day for that.
@nortonsark: Now that is useful. Thanks.
