I'm not sure whether to be excited or not. Boy Meets World was a pretty awesome show; I still enjoy catching reruns on VH1 every now and then. If they get it right it will be a hit, many of the kids who grew up watching BMW are now in their late 20s-30s with families of their own like myself. It could be one of those great sitcoms that the whole family will be able to enjoy, there's not too many of those around anymore.

I did see this. I really enjoyed the show as a kid, I think if done right it could be really good. I feel it's going to be really hit or miss, though. They can try to appeal to the adults who watched the show on its original run, or to the tweens/ teens of today. Those are two exceptionally different markets.

I'll definitely be checking it out though, for nostalgia's sake if nothing else.

Oh, my wife is going to flip! I watched it a little bit growing up, she lived to watch it!

Yea, I can definitely see this gaining a lot of attention to the 20s-30s crowd that watched it growing up.

Hollywood needs some original ideas..

They need to have lots of pool party episodes with Topanga chaperoning in a bikini.

That was such a great show. Not sure I want to see them all older/grown up, though. I saw an episode of Grey's Anatomy not too long ago, and William Daniels (Mr. Feeny) was on it. He wasn't looking so good. I know time marches on, but sometimes it's best just to leave something as a fond memory.

In this day and age, the daughter will probably have to be a lesbian to reflect the "modern family". Not holding my breath for this one.

please tell me Topanga has grown up to be a stripper in this show

Why not? Hollywood is very into recycling/rebooting established brands that already have a built in audience. This certainly fits with that and is less risky that starting a new show built around the same central conceit. How many shows about a husband and wife raising their kids have there been? You need something to distinguish the next one. If this works, look out for a spin-off with the Home Improvement kids or another Hogan Family. Family Ties Again? Fuller House? The Huxtables? The possibilities are endless.

How about "Married...With Grandchildren" instead? Can't you see Al and Peg as grandparents? #1 show right there.

I loved Boy Meats World when I was growing up but I don't really know how I feel about a remake. Can't they come up with an original idea? It seems like that's all Hollywood does now.

@jsimsace: They'd have to cancel Modern Family, Sons of Anarchy, and Up All Night to make that one.
