Who makes homemade ice cream? What is your favorite flavor?
I made some homemade mint choc chip, starting with fresh mint from the garden. What's the best you ever made?
The kind that has sugar and cream and salt... what ever kind that is...
(How can you decide on one? lol)
I've made Cream Cheese and Praline ice cream a few times, and it's great. You can use normal cream cheese instead of creole. I do.
When I first got married we were given an ice cream maker and I tried a whole bunch of recipes, my favorite one, by far, was the Butter Pecan. It was really amazingly good.
Either Butterfinger or fresh peach.....I can't choose.
One of my early Woot purchases was a Cuisenart Ice-cream maker/soft serve dispenser. We don't use it terribly frequently, but it gets pulled out a few times a year, mainly in the hottest part of the summer.
My dad makes a killer banana ice cream, and one of the elders at my church makes oreo and butterfinger ice cream whenever he has events on his property.
I usually stick with super simple recipes my mom used to use. Favorite is probably root beer-flavored ice cream. It's great, only two or three ingredients!
I usually like to make vanilla and add fruit of some sort. If not that then chocolate with marshmallows and almonds. Ice cream, is there anything it can't do?
I like making raspberry with the ones I grow, or plain vanilla and then I can use that to make various milkshakes.
I grew up on coffee-chocolate-brandy ice cream, which I helped crank in an antique ice and rock salt contraption. It's the only flavor my parents have ever made, and I have yet to taste better.
