What color is your car?
According to DuPont, white has been the most popular car color in purchases for the last 3+ years in the US, but silver has been the most popular color worldwide. White, black, silver, grey and red were the 2011 top 5 colors.
I bought my last car in October 2009 and it's silver.
Is rust a color?
I had just finished reading @conanthelibrarian's question about cats, so I guess I had "cats" on the brain because I thought @Imensor asked, "What color is your cat?"
My CAR is boring white. My CAT is orange and he is not boring.
British Racing Green II
Is Batman A Colour?
I'm so tired of seeing 75% being either white, silver/gray, beige! It's so boring!!
That being said, my car is bright orange hehe
Bright red. Not really my fave colour but I really love my car!
the original color of my vehicle is completely indeterminable.
like my original hair color.
@pemberducky: I thought that was your natural hair color.
Oh um, my first car was green. My current car is whatever color scheme transit is using.
I sell GMC's in Houston and I would say that 75% of all the cars we sell are either white, black or silver that being said, I drive a white car and so does my wife.
Silver car and silver truck.
Black- like my heart :-)
@jseureau: chicken/egg
:1
Vibrant colors sell in fewer numbers
Manufacturers don't make as many vibrant colors

Just bought my first car this week! It's a 2013 Ford Focus SE Hatchback in Race Red.
Edit: Her name is Sherry, for those who want to know :D
Red and Silver, but the purchase had nothing to do with color. It was good deal on CL...lol.
Dark Metallic Blue. I special-ordered my car so I got everything I wanted. :-P
i am one of those people.
my first car was some shade of burgundy(got it off a used lot somewhere).
my next car is polynesian green (i still have and love it).
and my current car is cat's eye blue (i needed a/c as i got older).
on the other hand hubby has different color varietys: white, beige (with green showing under it), brick, and olive all predominated by the color of RUST.
It's called Yellow Pearl, and it's gorgeous. It doesn't work for every car, but on a 300zx it's perfect.
I'm on my 3rd black in a row. The last 2 have the shiny metallic paint.
2006 Civic: Nighthawk Black Pearl
2012 CR-V: Basque Red Pearl II
Current cars:
'07 Ford Sport Trac: Dark Blue
'06 Mazda 3: Winning Blue Metallic
past Cars:
'08 Subaru Outback- Newport Blue Pearl
'98 Subaru Legacy - silver metallic
'81 Mazda MX-6 - White with Grey fender accent and Red hood accent :)
First car (can't remember make/model) - Red
Rav4 - White
Altima - Arctic Frost (pearl white)
Black Onyx... my last 4 cars have been black with black or dark gray leather interiors (all special ordered). Crazy I know, they're painful to keep clean.
Silver
Silver/Blue (it's supposed to be blue, but it looks silver unless you look really closely)
70's Pastel Green
Note that the color of my car is determined by what's being offered for sale - I've bought a different color car than the one I originally wanted just because it was cheaper. The only things I avoid are black & white - they are both too hard to keep clean.
Colors for cars I've owned previously:
Gray
Yellow
Black
Burgundy
Light Green
Dark Green
Silver
Dark Green
Dark Blue
And a gray box truck.
(I'm sure that the colors had pretty marketing names - but I can't be bothered. It's RED, not Puffer-Fish-Crimson or Riding-Hood-Scarlet! RED!)
And the white vehicle thing has got to be influenced by corporate/government fleets.
Salsa Red
Redfire Metallic
Charcoal Grey
Black. But SUVs look good in black!
Previous cars, in reverse order:
Maroon Red, Black, White.
black and white with a cherry on top
I have silver but it's not by choice. Often unless you special order and pay close to sticker, you are stuck with the colors that they have on the lot. I really wanted green but it didn't have all the features I wanted.
white, which is a godsend since i live in the desert...
White. I would like another color but it would have to be a light color as I live in the desert. But I would love a bright yellow or yellow-orange or that pretty copper color. Or on the other side of the spectrum lime or aqua would be nice. However, this was literally the only new manual transmission Honda Civic coupe in a 600 mile radius when I bought it so the selection was this one, or this one.
I read an article that on average green cars cost more than the other colors. Although this was only new cars, used cars it didn't matter. If I cared a bit more I would look for the article for you. I'm assuming it has to do with what @j5 said.
1 black, ; 1 "laguna seca blue" ; 1 "ruby mica", and 1 "british racing green".
@chellemonkey: That's funny, because when i bought my car I told the salesman I wished it was yellow, but that yellow cars cost at least twice as much as this one. He thought about it, laughed and agreed that it was mostly expensive sports cars that came in yellow from the factory. I was on the waiting list for two years for a green Prius. They kept offering me silver ones, but I held out for a green one for two years, till I finally did the math and realized that I drive too little for a Prius to be cost effective, and bought my Honda. My car is 4.5 years old and has only 27,000 miles on it.
Currently red (claret).
Previously:
blue
yellow
gold
red
green
silver
champagne
Dark Cherry.
Most recent has been a dark blue F150. Before that was a silver Mustang. Before that was a gray Escape and a blue Focus. That is since 2008. Common denominator? Ford baby. Blue oval all the way.
Mine is "Polished Metal" color. To my eye, it looks a little coppery colored but everyone else seems to think it's grey.
I wanted white, blue or black but this was the only color that was available at the time.
Blue. It's the first car that I've ever owned that was not white, black or gray.
Golden...just like me!
Bought my Taurus in 03 and it's white; bought the 4Runner in 11 and it's red.
Well up until Monday we had 3 cars:
White
Black
Silver
Now we only have two cars (traded in the silver and white) for a black car. So we're just a boring family with two black cars.
@chellemonkey: My first car was white & orange :)
I've also had red, green and blue. When I bought the last one I could not wait for them to order me something so I went with what was on the lot and it was either black or silver, and I went with silver.
Current - red wagon, white truck.
Previous cars - green, green, blue-green, black, navy, and orange-red.
2003 Silver Sebring Convertible
My car is Silver and sports-bike is Red.
Green
My truck color is called champagne (looks golden beige) my car is tan and my wifes car is that new green color everyone is getting.
Currently :
"Mineral Grey Metallic" '05Dodge Neon.( The 1 Color you can't find @ most parts stores, have to get touch-up from the Dealer $$)
Previously:
"Imperial White" Y2k Hyundai Sonata ("Bob")
"Driftwood Metallic" (looked champainey-goldish) 87 Oldsmobile 98Regency Brougham( w/ Vinyl Top.)
white 93 Chevy Corsica(maybe "ghost white"?)
"Cayman Green" 94 Ford Aerostar (Teal-ish in day light, almost navy Blue in some of the yellowier street/parking lot lights.)
I really want my next car to be orange. Really Really.
