Not me! And that's a bad thing living in Wisconsin. We've had maybe 12" of snow this season total. Right now we should be soaring well over 30" on the year. Man this planet is going whacky!

Down here we call it SNEAUX and no, we didn't get any in south Louisiana. On those rare occasions when we get a flake or two, we don't know what to do with it so everything grinds to a crashing holt.

Right on the line of the storm in Western Virginia...my house - zero; 15 miles south - 6 inches.

Got close to an inch in Dallas - but that was Tuesday. Of course, it's kind of a big deal for us especially since we got zero last year (and also since I grew up hoping for sneaux just like belyndag).

Not me :( ....which reminds me, I need to get my car's air conditioner zapped, fracked or whatever it's called...I can't handle the summer heat here! Auuuuuuuughhh!

We got a dusting, but worse than that was that it rained pretty hard up until the temp dropped, resulting in a good bit of ice. The news-people love to call it "black ice" but it's just ice. Crackups ensued. Schools weren't even delayed, which in the SE is shocking.

Although the picture says Virginia, this is a pretty accurate depiction of what happens when it snows in Mississippi as well.

@purplefeather: You'd be surprised - that's pretty much the reaction of NYers during the first snowstorm. Every, single, year. You'd think they know by now.

Also, we've gotten a few storms this year, but could really use much more snow. I hate shoveling, but enjoy the food that local farms produce - and they can't produce without snow in winter.

@purplefeather: LOL! Too true for Mississippi and Louisiana. I am originally from Mississippi - a small town no one has ever heard of. Went to grade school in Jackson. I remember one year when it snowed enough to make small forts, but that's it. We lived in other states (New Jersey, Pennsylvania, et al) where the snow would get deep enough for small kids to tunnel through, but we've only had significant sneaux down here a couple of times (and by "significant" I mean sneaux that sticks and accumulates up to 1 or 2 inches). That makes it really exciting, but since we have no equipment to clear roads, it also shuts everything down. In snowier states, it would take a real blizzard to do that!

In western AR we got between 9 and 12 inches on 12/25 and about 1 inch Tuesday. I'm ready for spring already.

@jsimsace: Well, that explains your avatar of a Razorback.

@purplefeather: Would you believe that is the Western WA reaction for snow, sun, fog, rain, and a car on the side of the road (either broken down on pulled over by the flashing light patrol)?

It is currently 55 degrees in Denver, Colorado with clear blue skies. I want to be excited about it after the near and sub-zero temperatures we suffered over the weekend but there isn't a flake of snow in the ten-day forecast and we desperately need moisture.

@hot72chev: Lived in Terra Alta W. Va. up in the mts. The kids would usually have Feb. off.

@gigi889: I am in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, Interstate 81 corridor. Was really hoping for a day off from work today, but it was not to be. The bands of snow were unusually tight on this storm. My car door was frozen shut this morning, had to get the hair dryer out. I love winter in Virginia!

Not me, the forecast was predicting 6-inches, but we got nothing.
