Now if only they'll do ebooks...Thanks for the head's up.

Interesting. I belong to Mr. Rebates.....Rushed over there to see if they've done the same thing. Nope. Only lists current Amazon coupons. Don't think this is enough to tempt me to join Ebates. Thanks for the info, though!

@gmwhit: They sent me a $10 Target GC just for signing up and I have not noticed an influx of spam either in my email or at my home. Is there some other problem I should be keeping my eyes open for?

@theoneill555: Didn't mean to imply anything is wrong w/Ebates. Just sayin' that I've been a Mr. Rebates member for years; don't think I want to join a similar site when I don't think I'd benefit from it. (The discounts offered for Amazon by Ebates are not compelling to me.)

I am a member at both sites. I generally check and see if there is a difference in the offers if I am making a purchase. I also check my Discover credit card shopping section and sometimes that is the better offer.

I do not get a ton of spam from these sites. If I am thinking right, a weekly ad. I do not look real close unless I am shopping for something.

@gmwhit: understood. thanks.

@pattiq: That's what I do. I check Ebates and ShopDiscover to see which is giving me the biggest rebate. Don't forget to sign up for the extra bonus on Discover for Oct 6th :-)

I use Mr Rebates, Amazon has never given any rebates there, maybe it will change

@gmwhit: Oddly enough, the name Mr. Rebates sounds like "mystery rebates" to me, or worse yet, "mastur............."..well, you know what I mean. I don't participate nor endorse any of the above.

@jsimsace: I want to disagree with you, but I know you're a master debater.

I signed up for EBates years ago but I can never remember to use it. I'll definitely have to try the next time I want to order something from Amazon

As for the OP, apologies for going off-topic earlier. Late evening hours often make what's left of my mind wander, and sometimes I will draw someone :::cough @rprebel cough::: in with me. I don't use ebates, and on Amazon I use my Chase Amazon Rewards Visa card and earn points with every purchase site-wide.
