you are lucky you get 2 choices. if it's anything like i've seen, then depending on what part of town you live, you'll get one or the other. where i live there are 2 companies, comcast and cox, but you get just 1 possible. or get FIOS.

also check if your zip gets at&t U-verse

btw, they don't take kindly to hacking on their networks, mr @HACKman2007

I live in downtown KC, and Time Warner is the only option in my building. We haven't had any issues with them since moving down here, and actually have been very happy with their service. We use Netflix and Hulu, as well as play a lot of online gaming, and haven't ever hit a cap of any kind. Some suburbs of KC offer AT&T Uverse, Everest, and Google Fiber is installing in KCK (not sure how the management of this will go).

Welcome to the city!

@woothulhu: Cool. It sounds like Time Warner may have removed the bandwidth cap. I know they were under some pressure to do so.

One of the places I'm looking at does offer AT&T U-Verse (as well as Time Warner), so if I had a choice, I would probably get U-Verse.

I will be living in North Kansas City.

your in luck. google has recently announced that they will test their new high-speed internet service in both Kansas City, KS & MO. I would look into this.
