Back to the Future Question
Ok Marty goes back to 1885 and Indians shoot the fuel line and oh no "There’s not going to be a gas station around here until sometime in the next century." Why not patch the fuel line and go siphon some gas out of the DeLorian Doc just buried in the abandoned silver mine?
Unless Doc had the foresight to pop in a bottle of the world's best fuel stabilizer before he buried it in the mine, that fuel will be like tar and no good. Gasoline does break down over time (a few months actually), have you ever tried to start something as simple as a lawn mower or snow blower after a year of sitting with old gas? It runs extremely rough. Now imagine 50+ years and trying to start up a fuel injected time machine.
Doc got sent back to Jan 1 1885 Marty returned to Sept 2 1885 so the gas in the DeLorian Doc was sent back in is only 9 months old.The Time machine may run rough but it would be worth trying.
Because it wasn't in the script.
