At the risk of sounding offensive, are you being treated for your bipolar disorder?

@capitalggeek: Not offensive at all. :) I am being treated, but I'm still all over the place. I'll go from being mesmerized by everything to completely disinterested and apathetic. And then a few weeks down the line I'll be mesmerized and full of pipe dreams and wonder all over again. Which of course leads me to spend my money on here, haha.

I had it so bad that I had to close all my accounts and deposit all money that comes to me into my wife's account that doesn't have my name on it.

Even though I'm on a fairly effective medication regimen, some of the symptoms still persist, one of them the manic spending.

Before I went bats**t crazy about 3 years ago, I had a six figure job. The week I got fired, I spent 2 weeks in airports, when my itinerary was 12 hours worth of flights and layovers.

Evidently, I was hanging out in one airport until I got bored with the shops and bars, then move onto the next. I was missing flights left and right and having to reschedule them.

After I got tired of the whole thing, I finally flew to work, where they sent me to the hospital for psychosis. I was pumped full of antipsychotics and tranqs and put on a bus home.

The only reason that I know that any of this happened is from ATM and credit card statements, a pink slip, an ER bill and a 90 day stint in rehab.

I keep meaning to check my frequent flyer miles to see how many free flights I racked up. In flying from Cali to SLC, I managed to hit most of the major international airports in the nation.
