Can you suggest a (bathroom) scale?
Today my scale decided to go on the fritz. The weight changes dramatically from minute to minute. So, I was wondering if anyone has a scale they like. Or, can suggest one. I'm hoping to be under $40. Digital scale, and I'm not sure I care about the body fat/water weight/etc... stuff some have. Just want an accurate accounting of my weight.
I hope to go buy one tomorrow, but could always grab one online if it's "the one." Thanks for any help!
I own this one:

It's 28.95 right now. Works great, no hassle. I've had it since January. I haven't used their customer service but they say "Customer satisfaction is our highest priority"
Also Prime eligible if you're so inclined.
I would recommend any by the brand Taylor. I have one that does Body Fat as well as weight, and my mom has a regular one. Both weigh with a 0.5 lb of each other regularly, year after year. I am very impressed.
I've had a tanita for years, and it still works great. It's similar to this one:
Just make sure it's fair and balanced.
@mkdr: According to their website, WalMart carries this brand.. which could be good since I can go pick one up.
@kmeltzer: that's probably where I got mine, or Bed Bath and Beyond with one of my coupons :) I've also heard great things about Tanita, as @okham suggested.
Thanks folks. I happened to check this morning, and the one I have is a Taylor. Although it's now semi-working-mostly not, it's lasted a long time. Since someone else recommended the same brand, I may go with another of the same.
I had to step on and off it 5 times this morning to get what appeared to be an accurate weight. But, I guess... in a way.. that's exercise!
I agree with @xdavex - I have the same scale, have had it for about a year. No problems so far, easy to read display, appears to be precise, and doesn't memorize your weight. What I mean by that is it's not going to show you 165.2 every day - because your weight fluctuates. A lot of digital scales remember the weights they measure and if someone gets on and it's close to that weight, it'll just display the memorized number - I think to account for a lack of precision. This scale doesn't do that - you can test it by standing on the scale, getting your weight, stepping off, and then stepping back on holding a full glass of water. It will show a slightly different weight - up to a pound or so, with an average sized glass of water. A lot of scales will show you the original weight, which is obviously not correct. Sorry for the rambling!
I got the Taylor 7506. Seemed to have good reviews on Amazon, and was under $30 at Target when I went there.
But, it reads 3lbs more than the other one was reading. Which, kinda stinks since now I have to work off that 3lbs I already thought I worked off.
