I'm done with my Kodak. Can you help me find a good inkjet printer?
It's time to buy a new inkjet printer. I really wanted to love my Kodak printer. In fact, I really did love it at first. But now that I'm printing less, I'm finding out that the color ink is being used up while printing black and white. That is, the clear protective coating comes from the color cartridge, and when that's out it refuses to print until you replace the color cartridge.
I want to stay with inkjet because I like glossy paper now and then. I also want to stay with pigment-based inks that will last a long time. Does anyone have any recommendations for an inkjet printer that doesn't cost too much up-front, has relatively low ink costs, and can sit for a while between prints without completely drying up the print head? I'd prefer one with separate ink tanks for each color, but it's not a requirement.
