@drivebypaint: I only have a Sam's membership because they sell a couple of brands that Costco does not. I suppose if you buy a certain number of items from Sam's Auction, that could justify the membership fee. Or do what my in-laws do, and share a card and the fee (or borrow a friend's # if you wanted to just try it out).

Sam's Auction is Great. Great deals, fast delivery.
Don't forget shipping so don't forget to mentally add $5 to $15 bucks on your bid price BEFORE BIDDING.
I can't ever remember anyone asking me to join Sam's Club and pay $35 or $40 fee for dues but check it out cause if you need to, it could well be worth it plus you'll use it at your local Sam's Club where the lines are 2/3 less as long as Costco and you can buy discounted Gas at many locations.
Before bidding, you have plenty of time to seek out the retail price of most items so as
not to OVER BID.Just use your favorite Browser and check with Walmart, Bestbuy or Sears.

You can make up the membership fee on your first winning auction. You do need to know your prices however and research items auctioned, on sites such as Amazon. Many people overpay by not being prepared.

I have purchased everything from televisions to tools via Sam's Club Auctions. Everything arrived properly packaged, no damage and at a more than fair price. You pay shipping; but you are shown shipping charges before you submit the final bid. Don't be afraid of this web site. It is one of the best. Good Luck.

Be careful, I was the winner of a few auctions and most items arrived in perfect condition. When an item doesn't arrive as listed, it is almost impossible to get any help in returning it. they will answer your phone call, but you will never get your return shipping label. I bought a diamond ring that arrived damaged and I am still trying to get it resolved. You only get the run around from Sams Club.

I have bought a vacuum cleaner and a wall clock through Sam's Club auction. Both items arrived in good condition. But the auction itself doesn't seems right sometimes. The bidders are anonymous and more often than not, these mystery bidders show up when the auction is about to end in an hour, and drive up the prices by bidding $20-$25 over the current winning bid. So a monitor that was going for $60 odd suddenly goes to $100 with 30 mins left for auction to close. The sole purpose of these bidders seems to drive the price rally upwards. Whether these mystery bidders are for real or its just Sams Club driving the bidding rally is up for anyone's guess. It sometimes seems like awful waste of time. Instead, you can not only score a better deal with online coupons and deals but also save some time that would otherwise be wasted following the rigged rally.
