What film franchise would you LOVE to see get just one more movie?
@studerc's deal on the Jurassic Park Blu-ray Trilogy (http://deals.woot.com/deals/details/76c836ed-184b-44e2-bcc2-d879c396fa65/jurassic-park-ultimate-trilogy-blu-ray-region-free#2 <= great deal, btw, you should upvote it, along with all of the comments, especially MINE) got me thinking about how many film franchises there have been, even since I can remember (only since late 80's).
Many, like Jurassic Park, have been abandoned over 10 years ago. Many of these were abandoned for good reason, as any further sequels, following already crappy sequels would have been like beating a dead horse, grinding it to sausage, then beating the sausage. But, now that after so much time has passed, maybe it's time to see what fresh minds and new technology can do, right?
I would love to see another Jurassic Park movie, they just fascinate me. And as it turns out, there are plans to make one, and release it in 2014.
How about you? Ghostbusters? Back to the Future? Star Wars? (though unlikely)
@90mcg112:
in my mind, Terminator has/ will always be the Matrix back story.(almost as soon as i saw "the Matrix" in '99)
I liked the animatrix, but none of the stories really clicked to me like the terminator Connection did.
@cdunagan: Just watch the news, we are already on our way to living it.
aliens (Ridley Scott) like the 2nd one. None of that mix em with a people or some ooze nonsense, just chitloads of aliens and pulse rifle sounds. would win best scifi of the century but no instead of that we got to see some ooze and a retarded duck looking alien in Prometheus.
Two words: Austin Powers.
