I would assume it's for those that love technology, rely on it and are too lazy to sift through the deals listed here.

The site may have better RSS Feeds to allow people to have a tracker of sorts as new deals are added. That way they can see what's happening on deals.woot w/o having to reload the site?

That's my guess.

Considering the site is still a basic template, I'm sure the person who set it up uses it more fore personal than anything else.

I wouldn't consider stealing since everything links back to woot.

I think it's based on a love of the color green, Green on the website and green cash they get for purchases made via their Amazon link

They must be part of the woot! army!!

How flattering to have such woot! dedication.

@bogie21: I know I was going for sensationalism

It's a very basic Wordpress site that is probably set up to rake in advertising revenue, albeit by committing trademark infringement in their choice of domain name.

The "Sample Page" shows that they never even deleted the default page that's created when you set up Wordpress.

He's probably not even a black triangle.

I wouldn't be too concerned, it looks like it expires on the 29th of June. Someone else should buy it when it expires, I'm sure they're RAKING in the cash.

Um well where do you think most people get their deals from? It's a vicious circle. Plenty of the same stuff on fatwallet and others. I guess it's important to scream "FIRST" but seriously who cares where you get your deal from.

Based on their Alexa ranking of more than 24 million (meaning there are 24 million more visited websites than this) I don't think they're doing a lot of business. But WOOT has a case for cybersquatting if they care to pursue it and @jumbowoot may already be aware of this site.

@eraten: I love the idea of buying that domain in a few weeks :) ... I think woot.com proper should snatch it up.

It looks like just one of those annoying spam sites that post other sites knowledge and then stick up an ad to steal money from the root company.

It's theft. Theft of the content posted on Woot, and theft of ad revenue.

Looks like either the site has been taken down or their servers have crashed.

vote-for4vote-against

@mtm2: I just noticed that too. I tried entering it in manually vs using the link and still no luck. But when I entered it in at first I accidentally entered iwoot.com which redirects to this UK deals site: http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/ who's acronym is also IWOOT. So whoever owned iwoot.info might have some issues with both companies.

We probably crashed his site with all of us clicking on it

vote-for3vote-against

It's up as of 3:23 EDT. Sucky looking site.
