Well then, what's your LEAST favorite old-school video game?
So @jeffyn recently asked what your favorite old-school video game is--I want to know, what's your least? And I'm not necessarily talking about shoddy games thrown together by people who didn't know how to make video games. Maybe it's a game you'd had high hopes for but that disappointed, or just something everyone loves whose appeal you just don't get. Thoughts?

I may get downvoted for this, but I've gotta say it--for me it's the original Super Mario 2. It's slightly more bearable in Lost Levels form (at least then you can save!), but I just feel like it takes everything the Mario series does well and throws it in the garbage. My S.O. and I sank hours into the Lost Levels one and STILL could not beat it.
On the bright side, if you have low blood pressure, I believe doctors have recently started prescribing SMB2.
A few old-school arcade games that did NOT age well:
Double Dragon
Lethal Enforcers
The original TMNT for NES also should be mentioned, for just being a horrible game to begin with.
E.T. on Atari! That was a terrible game.
Top Gun.
Seriously, the landing only worked half of the time, regardless of what you did.
@heyjoie: Did you know that Super Mario 2 wasn't originally made to be a part of the series? The original characters were changed to Mario characters after the success of the original caught on.
I have to admit though, it's probably not my least favorite, but it definitely ranks in that list.
My absolute least favorite though is the Original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game. I think that's because I played it after the other turtles games (the side scroller style was released later and was much better than the original top scroller version). It's nearly impossible to enjoy because it's so frustrating.
I still have all of my original Atari, NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, N64, PS1, PS2, Dreamcast, XB games -- About 500 in all. I still buy old games when I can find them. I still play most of them on a regular occassion too, but I don't play the original TMNT -- Ever
I'm sure there will be some downvotes here.
@capguncowboy: Oh! I should specify--I don't mean the American SMB2, I mean this one:

MOST INFURIATING GAME OF ALL TIME. The American SMB2 I could take or leave. Kind of annoying, but as you said, not my LEAST favorite.
I love that you still bust out the old systems! I've hung onto all of them, but with the exception of my original GameBoy, am too afraid to try them out (I'd be heartbroken if they didn't work anymore). I'm in love with the Wii's Virtual Console, though. :)
I'm trying but can't seem to remember the original TMNT game... I know I played some, but maybe not the original? I don't recall hating the ones I played.
@woothulhu: I could never refuel!! D: So the game was always fun to me for uh, however long you could play before you had to refuel.
Loved the music, though. EPIC.
Vanguard. I kept trying it thinking I would like it, but it was that vertical scrolling that annoyed me.
I have a few, all from the C64. Epyx Summer and Winter Games. Stupid skater always fell. Also text based adventure games like Zork and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. If you are required to buy a hint book to gett through the games, it's not well designed. Absolutely infuriating.
As @woothulu said, any game where you had to land or take off from flight. Controllers were thrown.
Does anyone remember a game called Ghoul School on NES? I still vividly remember throwing my controller against the wall and seeing it break.
and that's what we call "instant remorse".
Pac-Man. I always sucked at Pac-Man. I will always suck at Pac-Man.
@holymythos: Taking off generally wasn't a problem. Landing totally was. I remember hating the realistic flight simulator games and if I had to pick one I hated the most, it would be Microsoft Flight Simulator.
@travelchic75: Ehem... The hint books weren't actually required. Though they definitely were very popular items. (I was running a mail-order software business and working in a NYC computer store in the early 80's and we couldn't keep the hint books in stock.)
Atari 2600 Indiana Jones game. Utterly unplayable.
