Nope, but I'm interested in what others have to say about it.

I've tried it and for a light beer its not shabby. I do love how they play it up by adding .5 alcohol content.

@happyknappybeard: Correct me if I'm wrong, but I actually heard that its 6% as opposed to the usual 4.2% in regular BL.

Yep, tried a 6 pack of it out of curiosity. Pretty disappointed with the flavor, but hell, it's bud-light to begin with so it's not exactly coming from a pedigree of great tasting beer.

The one thing that really resonated with me was that it was overly sweet to cover the extra alcohol flavor that they were trying to cram in there. As far as I'm concerned, it's a miss. I expect we'll see it run about 8-12 months and then be canned, just like many other new 'bud' attempts.

PS. I'm not totally down on Bud, they did make American Ale, which wasn't bad for a macro brew.

Yes and I really like it. Best Bud product out.
6% ABV and it's tasty for a Bud item.

@davidschronic: I believe its 5.5 - 5.4 where I am. I could be wrong.

edit: It looks like I was wrong.

Life is too short to drink crappy beer.

@ruger9mm: that's a loooong ways from here, won't you mail me some?

@davidschronic: Did you put your zip code in the find our beers tab? I have found them in many of the states I've been to.

vote-for2vote-against

@ruger9mm: Then surely you haven't been to the most important state! 89502. None found!

@davidschronic: Wow, now I know why they call it the desert southwest!

Definitely was not a fan. It has a weird carbonation, almost champagne like, but not in a good way. Very strong metallic aftertaste. The only "perk" was the 6%, but I'd rather drink an IPA any day.

I picked up a 12 to give it a try last weekend.

A "C" grade from me.

As far as taste is concerned it does taste a bit overly sweet and finished metallically like a few people noted. But not horrible. It just tasted like a highly carbonated bud product, which was kind of a turnoff for me.

For a high alcohol beer it's in the bottom half that I've ever had.

For a light beer it's in the bottom quarter that i've had.

So for a high-alcohol light beer, which I can't think of any, I guess it's good.

Otherwise, not a lot to write home about.

The cobalt colored bottles are cool though.

And I did get the 70 year old aunt (who drinks normal bud light) pretty schnockered on 3. So that was entertaining.

I'm not much of a bud fan but definitely a beer snob. I was at a bar and they gave me a taste. Has a very light beer taste like michelob ultra with no finish. It was odd but you taste it on your tongue then its just is gone. Not a fan, just In Bev trying to breathe life into Anheiser.

Isn't it basicaly bud ice but with a new name?

I had it during the superbowl, it was ok but still just bud.

vote-for2vote-against

I'm interested in trying it, but i never liked bud light, i prefer Budweiser. my favorite light beer is Miller light. Maybe I'll make a trip to St. Louis Budweiser brewery to sample it.
