Any Double Fine Fans out there? (Psychonauts, Brutal Legend) They are raising money for a new game!

They're making an adventure game (Monkey Island style) and are raising money for it. Maybe if this project goes well we can see a Psychonauts sequel done the same way? I dunno, I'm just excited for a new Tim Shafer game and put 30 bucks down.

I actually haven't played the games you listed, but am impressed with Double Fine. I love the new Happy Action Theatre Kinect game.

Looking forward to anything they work on.

@wnyx585am: You should take @cowboydann up on his offer.. they're both good games. Costume Quest is kindof like a cross between Kid Chameleon and Final Fantasy heh (or probably more accurately Paper Mario).. The combat is turnbased RPG style, the rest is kind of hard to explain - it's fun though.

I haven't actually played Psychonauts, but I think I have it somewhere..

I've had that happen to me quite a few times.. I guess it's bound to happen if you're active very much on here. And I see it happen on like a daily basis to other people. It's actually kind of ironic though - I'm probably nicer on here than anywhere else.. but for whatever reason, it seems like there's ALWAYS somebody looking for an excuse to get mad about something.

And the other thing I've noticed is, a lot of times when these people get all worked up and pissed off about something, half the time it's because they misread a comment or just completely misunderstood what the other person said lol

I guess poor reading comprehension and anger issues must go hand-in-hand :)

@cowboydann: Dude. Have you looked at the KickStarter balance today? Over $1,000,000 F-ING DOLLARS.. From $297,000 last night when we were talking about it. (And that was awhile ago, I haven't checked it for hours)

That's unbelievable. $700,000+ in like 12 hours.

@drchops: I know man, It's truly amazing. Like I said in the chat, I'm not extremely excited about this game, It's just every time I have bought a TS game in the past it was for 80% off because the game was a total mainstream failure. I wanted to finally give him the money he deserves and hope to encourage him to do more stuff like this (and see others do this too). I'm glad to see this had such a great response and can't wait to see what the future holds.

@cowboydann: So have you played any of the old-school TS games? (Grim Fandango, Day of the Tentacle, etc)

If you haven't, do.. it'll give you an idea of what you're probably paying for lol. I haven't read a whole lot about the project, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be point-and-click esque.

The good news is, by today's standards the game they're making is probably gonna be uber simple so it should be out quick :D
