Do you believe the Nationals will shut down Stephen Strasburg?
The Washington Nationals have stated that they will shut down pitcher Stephen Strasburg at the around the 160 innings mark. The team having a great year and are pace for a top spot in playoffs. Starsburg is doing well this year, just one season removed from major arm surgery. The team is being careful but do the fans and teammates deserve to see the best product on the field given the playoffs nearing? Should they shut him down, proceed with caution, or full speed ahead?

Full speed ahead. You play the game to win now not next year especially with a chance to go to the play offs.. He could have an accident in the off season that ends his career and all of this coddling will have been for nothing. I don't think any athlete wants to be held back when they are ready to play.
agree with @wadekind. urgency, not trepidation & tenderness.
Dance with the one who brung ya.
