I'm fairly convinced they aren't random at all, also. I've gotten countless randoms, always order 3 (2 for me, 1 for the wife) and there have been NO duplicates for each respective size. We've gotten duplicates of eachothers, but never 2 of the same for a given size.

Cool. Some of my favorite shirts have shown up as part of a random order.

@lonelypond: Agreed. I never had an interest in get the Okry Dokey Artichokey shirt, but got it in a Random... It's one of my fave and ALWAYS gets strangers chuckling and commenting on it. Nice conversation starter, and oddly enough, the yellow doesn't make me look weird like it usually does, haha.

The serious answer - yes, they are random, but in an orderly way. All the culled shirts are separated out by size and picked in order of however they're stacked. That's the reason why multiple orders of the same size around the same time will receive the same designs.

It just so happens that you got 3/3. It doesn't always work out that way, though ... look through the resulting posts after any random, and you'll find folks going 0/3.

@narfcake: Wait, what?! Woot no longer uses a random number generator to select Random shirts?!?! I'VE BEEN CHEATED. I spend all this money on shirt.woot and I can't even get RANDOM random shirts? That's it: I quit. I'm never buying anything from woot ever again.

Oooh, is woot.com selling batteries? Eleven pages of comments; they must be great batteries!
