@bsalusa: They didn't catch up all that quickly, considering one of the questions was from almost an hour before. My guess is that they had other irons in the fire, or were perhaps attempting to trace the creature. No matter. I'm extremely grateful that it's gone.
We never get to see what's behind the curtain. Perhaps it's better that we don't.

@bsalusa: I threw up a little in my mouth when I saw that ENOM was the registrar. I have the hate for ENOM.

Yes, what was missed? Had to get some zzzz's because of early classes. Course, now I can't sleep and what am I doing with my time? It's 4:30am and I'm on deals.woot.

I would tattle to staff to see if they want to deal with it. I agree it isn't a deal and really shouldn't be posted here. But I don't write the paychecks.

@hobbit: no he was saying something like this: "Our Timberland boots so comfortable you should get too." etc. I was appalled it was that bad. There was a quick and vicious attack by our faithful crew on this guy.

@glindagw: it is okay. freaked me out though.
For those of you who missed this, a few points. The first post by this fool was deleted quickly by staff (I never even saw it). The second, third, and fourth, not so much, HOWEVER, it was late, and I know what a skeleton crew it is at night (is it even more than a single person?), and there's a lot to keep running.
I posted a few significant things, such as upstream information, probable email address of the spammer, things like that, but my guess is that most of what was going on over on the staff side was logging IP addresses, sites, and other information, so that the assault could be stopped on a more permanent basis. I hit the tattle button per each, but NOT more than once (since I know each and every time generates a unique email, that requires a response on the other end).
BTW, unless you've dealt with trouble tickets and the systems that run them, you don't grasp what has to be dealt with on the other side. I'd say more, but I'm running out of space to say it in, and you know
