I find the little songs that my kids toys play to get stuck in my head. He has this plush soccer ball that sings little songs (throw it high, catch it low...) that are pretty annoying. But, I do also get TV show songs (Swiper no swiping! Swiper no swiping!) stuck in my head too.

My son, 19 months, is a huge fan of Itsy Bitsy Spider fan. He is also into Sesame Street and I get them in my head all the time. No way to get them out of your head.

I did a lot of theater in college and when we were doing a musical, many of the cast and crew would get the songs from the show stuck in our heads. It was especially bad during stressful times...oh the nights that the songs from "Tommy" kept me awake during senior design project crunch time. Someone discovered that there were a couple of other songs you could get stuck in your head that seemed to unstick easier. "99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall" worked for some. But, overall, the best song was "I'm Just a Little Black Rain Cloud" from Winnie the Pooh. A few repetitions of the first few lines of that song seem to do the trick. No idea why it works but I'm grateful it does.

I usually can get a song out of my head by putting on one of my favorite albums that I can sing along with....by the time I am 1/2 thru I usually have the other specific song out of my head. Can give that a try when your kids are in bed and have a free few minutes.

If that doesn't work for a change of pace you could always try a more annoying song to switch it up. Give some of the old classics like "Mahna Mahna" or "Banana Phone" a try.... sure in a few days these will drive you up the wall but for now at least its different.

I dont know about you but that song that never ends makes me want to eat tasty lamb chops. It does get rather annoying though when the food is gone and the song remains.
